Here we're collecting the students' writing folders. I also remind the students that we're going to hang these books on the wall for their parents to see.
I think it's important for students to know that their books will have an audience - whether that involves a publishing night for students to share their books aloud with parents, or simply hanging work on the wall. Seeing that their books will be "published" gives students a sense of purpose and audience. (By the way, I hope no one noticed that I made a grammatical error in Spanish in this clip!)
